Dental tourism has picked up in a big way in India. Implant industry has seen an ascending growth in the recent years. All these are happening due to the paradigm shift in the placement of implants through noninvasive techniques. Minimal trauma to the patient has instilled more confidence in the minds of patients visiting from different parts of the world. More number of implant brands are entering India seeing a strong growth trend in the number of implants.
Flapless surgical technique has not only shortened the placement time of implants but also minimized the chances of infection. Above all, the prosthesis can be delivered in no time with very less chances of bone loss. The only instruction is that patient has to stay on a semisolid diet for few months. The main tools for a successful flapless surgery are cone-beam computed tomography, good size of the ridge, and bone density. Success rate is very high, ultimately leading to growth in the dental practice.
